Bluefaced Leicester – Hand Dyed Top – 4 ounces

Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is a fine long wool, with a staple lenght of 3-6 inches. It is a versitile wool that is easy to spin and will produce a solf yarn that will wear well. It is feltable.

Top – Fiber is combed to provide spinning fiber in which all the fibers are parallel. This preparation of fiber is best suited to worsted or semi worsted spinning.

Top is hand dyed using various techniques including low immersion and hand painting. The colors are one-of-a-kind. If there is more than one listed, they were dyed at the same time but will have some variations. The top is packaged loose in plastic bags (not braided).
